How many sessions does PMU brow removal take?

The clinical average for complete permanent makeup (PMU) brow removal is between 3–6 sessions. However, the exact number varies based on several factors, including the age of the tattoo, how deeply the pigment was placed, the type and quality of the ink used, and the overall application technique.

How does the removal process work?

Laser energy targets the ink particles in the skin and breaks them down into smaller fragments. Over time, your body’s natural immune system processes and removes these particles. During this process, the ink may shift colors — for example:

From a grayish-black or brown to a pinkish-orange.
From orange back toward brown or gray before completely fading.

This color change is completely normal. When orange or pink tones appear, we use our 532 laser wavelength to specifically target those pigments and continue the fading process until the brows are clear.

How far apart are sessions spaced?
