Free Tattoo Removal for Human Trafficking Survivors
At Tampa Bay Tattoo Removal, we believe laser tattoo removal can be life-changing. Certain tattoos are not expressions of identity, they are marks of exploitation, control, or trauma. Our Community Outreach Initiative is dedicated specifically to supporting survivors of human trafficking who are seeking a fresh start.
We are honored to provide free laser tattoo removal services to eligible survivors in the Tampa Bay area.
Why We Focus on Human Trafficking Survivors
Branding tattoos are frequently used in human trafficking situations as a method of ownership, manipulation, and control. Removing those marks can be an important step in reclaiming autonomy, rebuilding confidence, and restoring dignity.
As a nurse-led, medical laser clinic, we are committed to creating a safe, professional, and trauma-informed environment where survivors can begin that process.
Did you know? Florida consistently ranks among the top three states in the U.S. for human trafficking prevalence, due to its population size, tourism, major transportation hubs, and other risk factors.

Review Board
All applications submitted through our Community Outreach Program are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by an internal discretionary review board composed of medical professionals and organizational leadership. When appropriate, we may collaborate with a caseworker, therapist, social worker, probation officer, nonprofit organization, or other support professional involved in the applicant’s care or reintegration process.
The purpose of this review is to determine program eligibility, assess whether tattoo removal is appropriate for the applicant’s individual circumstances, and ensure that available program resources are allocated to candidates who will benefit most from the service.
How to Apply
If you or someone you work with may qualify:
- Have your case worker or organization contact our office directly.
- Include verification documentation.
- We will schedule a confidential consultation to determine eligibility and create a treatment plan.
All inquiries are handled with discretion and professionalism.
Program Capacity
Approval is based not only on applicant need, but also on available program funding, treatment capacity, and clinic resources. Meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
